THE RULE OF MANY by sister/author duo Ashley and Leslie Saunders is the second book in the fast-paced, dystopian series The Rule of One. Picking up right where the first book ended, THE RULE OF MANY follows as twin sister rebels Eva and Mira Goodwin advance the Common’s revolution against the single-child law by directly confronting Governor Roth as his authoritarian power is consolidating throughout the USA.
Much like the first book in the series, THE RULE OF MANY was a quick, entertaining read that I couldn’t put it down! This installment had chapters told from the perspective of new characters that were not only fun but helped fully form aspects of The Rule of One world that we had not yet experienced. My issue with this book is that Eva and Mira are separated for most of the story. I found the special twin relationship one of the most compelling and powerful aspects of the first book, and unfortunately this one lacked it.
THE RULE OF MANY may not be groundbreaking but it is a damn good time and you know I’m eagerly awaiting book 3!!
